SINKO INTERNET LIMITED ("we", "us") respects personal data privacy and handles personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong. This policy applies to this website and to our services.
1. What we collect
- Contact details you provide: name, company, job title, email, telephone and address.
- Enquiry content: project requirements, site addresses, technical environment descriptions and attachments.
- Technical data: browser type, device type and approximate location, recorded automatically in server logs.
- Service records: tickets, call notes, site photographs and acceptance documents.
2. Why we use it
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotations and proposals.
- To perform contracts, arrange installation and provide support.
- To maintain service records and handle billing and warranty matters.
- To improve our website and services, in aggregate form.
- To comply with legal or regulatory requirements.
3. Disclosure
We do not sell personal data. To deliver services we may share necessary data with carriers (for coverage checks and provisioning), equipment vendors (for warranty and replacement), and professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers. Each is permitted to use the data only for the purpose of providing that service.
4. Retention
We keep data only as long as needed. General enquiry records are retained for about 24 months; contract and accounting records for 7 years per tax and accounting requirements; service tickets until 24 months after warranty ends. Records are then destroyed or anonymised.
5. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, including access control, encryption in transit, backups and staff confidentiality obligations. No internet transmission can be guaranteed absolutely secure; please avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive data (such as identity card numbers or passwords) through the enquiry form.
6. Your rights
You may request access to and correction of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to stop sending marketing information. Please contact us in writing. We will respond within a reasonable period and may charge a fee permitted by law for access requests.
7. Cookies
This website uses essential cookies to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work.
