Retail · multi-site
Retail chain: re-architecting 12 store connections
- Background
- Twelve stores across Hong Kong, each on a different carrier's broadband. POS and inventory sync regularly timed out, and head office had no visibility of line status.
- Scope
- Standardise line type and bandwidth; DIA at head office; two store tiers by footfall; 4G emergency on all sites; central monitoring.
- Division of work
- We handled coverage checks, store-by-store surveys, circuit ordering, router configuration and per-store acceptance. The client handled internal scheduling and building access.
- Outcome
- POS sync dropped from about 40 seconds to under 6; single-store outages now fail over in under 10 minutes; head office sees every store from one dashboard.
Professional services · managed IT
CPA firm: fully outsourced IT for 40 staff
- Background
- IT was a side duty of an administrative colleague, so it stalled every tax season. Server and backup status were never checked on a schedule.
- Scope
- Service desk and on-site support, server and backup checks, endpoint standardisation, asset register, quarterly review.
- Division of work
- We provide remote support plus two on-site visits per month. The client retains ownership of systems and data and grants only the necessary administrative rights.
- Outcome
- No downtime during tax season; backup failures detected and fixed within 24 hours; all device and licence renewal dates visible, avoiding emergency purchases.
Trading · email migration
Trading company: 60 mailboxes from on-premise to cloud
- Background
- An eight-year-old on-premise mail server with ageing disks and no off-site backup; overseas clients complained about delivery delays.
- Scope
- Migrate 60 accounts and roughly 380GB of history; configure SPF / DKIM / DMARC; add independent backup and an offboarding process.
- Division of work
- We handled inventory, build, staged migration, cutover and verification. The client confirmed signatures and shared mailbox ownership by department.
- Outcome
- Cutover completed in a six-hour weekend window with everyone working normally on Monday; overseas bounce rate fell noticeably; no repeat of "the backup was not running".
Carrier · white-label
Global network operator: local delivery at 20 Hong Kong sites
- Background
- No permanent team in Hong Kong. They needed survey, attendance, installation and first-line field response, delivered under their own brand.
- Scope
- Ticket-based surveys, equipment installation, acceptance testing and field maintenance, with monthly ticket detail.
- Division of work
- Upstream handled sales, circuits and client communication; we handled all local field work with no visibility to the end client.
- Outcome
- Attendance kept within agreed windows; 100% ticket reporting completeness; engagement extended to Macau site support.
On authenticity: these are summaries of real project types and delivery scopes, with client names withheld under NDA. If you need a reference for a specific industry, we can provide more detailed scope descriptions and acceptance document samples under NDA.
Your situation may be different
Cases show what we have done, not that your problem has only one answer. If you are facing something concrete — lines that keep dropping with no root cause, IT resting on one person, or an office move with no one coordinating — describing the situation is more useful than matching a case.
